I am not sure what the sound could be, but if it is really disturbing you can just reduce amount of ambient/environment noise to 0% in your sound settings. Have you tried this with other texture packs? Because also the issue could just be the sound file in a certain texture pack, but I might be completely wrong here. Ah yes. You were most likely kicked by GWEN. This was implemented into the anti-cheat to combat hacks named scaffold or safewalk. These hacks allow the user to build bridges at an unnaturally fast rate. The anti-cheat is so touchy on this since, not a lot of people can god bridge, so they have the mindset that it’s better to be safe than sorry.

As @Scruffydoggy stated, this game seems similar to skyfall and skywars. Also most players on Mineplex play on the 1.8 version of Minecraft so then all players would have to move to 1.9 or above.
